Our agreement — Link to section
These Terms apply when you use Kasai Cloud, together with the Acceptable Use Policy and any specific plan terms presented to you. Read them before creating an account. A business representative must be authorised to act for their organisation. The Privacy and Cookie Policies explain data processing; agreeing to these Terms is not consent to optional processing.
Service operator
Kasai Cloud is the service name. The operator’s verified legal identity and contact details will be published here before public launch.
Eligibility and account registration — Link to section
You must be legally able to enter the agreement or have the valid authorisation required by applicable law. Give accurate registration information, keep it reasonably up to date and use an account you are entitled to control. Do not impersonate someone else or create accounts to evade restrictions.
Keeping your account secure — Link to section
Protect your password, device credentials and recovery channels. Review connected devices and revoke access you no longer recognise or need. Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access through the security contact. You are responsible for your own use and the access you authorise, subject to applicable law; you are not automatically responsible for every unauthorised act by a third party. Kasai support will not ask for your password.
Storage, transfers and supported content — Link to section
You may store, upload, download, organise and share content through supported features, within the quota and other limits shown for your account. Upload completion must be confirmed before you rely on a stored copy. Network interruptions, local device limits and unsupported formats can affect transfers or previews. Keep independent copies of important material.
- Kasai Cloud can store photos, videos, files, documents and supported data explicitly uploaded or shared to it, including media saved to your photo library and chat exports you intentionally provide.
- This is not a promise of a complete iPhone system backup, direct WhatsApp chat-database backup, restoration of WhatsApp from Kasai Cloud or unrestricted access to another application’s private data.
- Offline copies and files downloaded by you or recipients are outside the service’s remote deletion controls. Secure and manage those copies on the relevant devices.
Your content remains yours — Link to section
You retain ownership of your photos, videos, documents and other Customer Content. Uploading them does not transfer ownership to Kasai Cloud. You grant only the limited rights necessary to host, process, transmit, display, synchronise and copy that content to operate the service for you, including requested previews, sharing and recovery. Those rights last only as needed for the service and the deletion, backup or lawful-preservation processes described in the Privacy Policy.
Limits on our use of your information — Link to section
These limits govern permitted use; they do not make privileged server or database access technically impossible. The Security & Data Access page explains which events are recorded and the remaining operational limitations. No promise of universal access logging or independently verified production controls is made.
Kasai Cloud does not sell users’ personal information. Private customer content is not used to create advertising profiles or target advertising. Kasai Cloud does not train AI models on the contents of your private files unless a future feature obtains separate, informed permission. Administrative access is restricted to authorised personnel where reasonably necessary for operations, security, fraud or abuse investigations, legal compliance, lawful requests or support you expressly request.
Sharing and public links — Link to section
Choose recipients, permissions, expiry and password protection carefully. Anyone who obtains an unprotected public link may be able to access its content. You must have the rights or permissions needed to share content and personal information. Revoking a link prevents further access through that link but cannot recall copies already downloaded, forwarded or otherwise retained by recipients.
Plans, quotas and free or beta access — Link to section
Features and quotas are those displayed for the applicable account or offer. Paid personal and business plans are not promised merely because they appear as coming soon on the website. Free or beta access, where offered, may have specified limits and evolving features. We will explain material changes and give reasonable notice where practicable and legally required, including an opportunity to retrieve data when an offer is withdrawn.
Subscriptions, billing and renewal — Link to section
If paid subscriptions are offered, the price, taxes, billing period, payment arrangements, renewal rules and any minimum commitment must be presented before purchase. An automatically renewing plan renews only on the terms you accepted. We will communicate applicable price changes and cancellation options before a changed renewal takes effect as required by law. No payment processor is identified until the payment arrangement is confirmed.
Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds — Link to section
You may cancel a paid renewal using the method disclosed with the subscription or by contacting us. The offer must explain when cancellation takes effect and how a resulting lower quota affects stored data. Cancellation does not itself delete your account. Statutory withdrawal, refund, repair, replacement, price-reduction and other consumer remedies remain available where applicable. These Terms do not impose a blanket no-refund rule or waive mandatory rights.
Service changes, maintenance and reasonable use — Link to section
We may maintain, correct or update the service and make proportionate technical changes. Interruptions can occur; no specific uptime or backup guarantee is created by these Terms. We will give appropriate notice of material adverse changes where required and respect cancellation or other remedies provided by law. Use resources reasonably and follow the Acceptable Use Policy; genuine storage use within an advertised quota is not by itself abuse.
Restrictions and proportionate enforcement — Link to section
Do not use Kasai Cloud unlawfully, infringe others’ rights, distribute malware, exploit people, interfere with infrastructure or bypass quotas and security controls. The Acceptable Use Policy gives further detail. Reports, security signals or legal notices may lead to investigation and proportionate restrictions, suspension or termination. Where safe and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and offer a way to seek review. Urgent security risks or legal requirements may require action without prior notice.
Ending use and retrieving your data — Link to section
You may stop using Kasai Cloud and initiate account deletion in Account settings in the app. Download needed files before confirming: confirmation is irreversible, immediately disables access and queues verified deletion, without a grace period. Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, we will provide an opportunity to retrieve lawful content before a non-urgent termination initiated by Kasai Cloud. Access cannot be guaranteed where it would create a security risk or conflict with law. An app uninstall, logout or subscription cancellation is not an account-deletion request.
When you request account deletion
- In Account settings, choose Delete account, download anything you want to keep, then confirm with your current password, a second factor when required and the word DELETE. Confirmation is irreversible; there is no cancellation or grace period.
- Access is disabled immediately when the request is accepted; sessions and device credentials are revoked. Deletion continues in a background process.
- Sharing links are revoked so they no longer provide access through the account.
- Owned active files, versions, trash, uploads and account metadata are removed. Files belonging to other people are not deleted. The saved in-app receipt shows progress, including incomplete operations being retried; completion is reported only after verification.
- Residual backup copies are handled separately under backup-retention procedures, not erased instantaneously by this process. A fixed backup-expiry period has not yet been confirmed.
- Records that must be kept by law may remain for that limited purpose. Copies already downloaded by recipients are outside Kasai Cloud’s control.
File deletion — Link to section
Deletion and recovery depend on the available trash functionality and applicable retention settings. Exact recovery and backup periods are not fixed by these Terms. The Privacy Policy explains separate treatment of active files, logs, legal records and backup copies.
When you delete a file
- You delete an active file.
- If recovery is enabled, it moves to trash and may be restored while it remains there.
- Permanent deletion removes the file from active storage. Versions and associated data are handled by the applicable deletion process.
- Residual backup copies are handled separately through backup-retention procedures, subject to necessary legal preservation. No fixed backup-expiry period is promised.
Kasai technology and third-party services — Link to section
Kasai Cloud and its licensors retain the rights in the service’s software, branding and design, subject to applicable open-source licences. You receive the rights needed to use the service, not ownership of that technology. Links or integrations with third-party services may have their own terms and privacy rules. We remain responsible for our own obligations; a reference to a third party does not remove mandatory duties owed to you.
Quality, responsibility and consumer protections — Link to section
We aim to provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation or suitability for every specialised purpose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable liability for intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence, or removes mandatory consumer guarantees and remedies, including those under applicable European, EEA or Norwegian law.
Responsibility for losses is determined by applicable law and the circumstances. These Terms impose no general consumer indemnity and no arbitrary monetary liability cap. Any additional business liability or indemnity arrangement must be separately agreed and lawful.
Applicable law and resolving concerns — Link to section
Please contact us so we can try to resolve a concern. You retain access to courts, regulators and any dispute-resolution rights available under applicable law. No provision removes the non-waivable protections that apply to you as a consumer.
The operator’s governing-law details will be published once confirmed. These Terms do not select an exclusive court or remove protections that apply where you live.
Changes and contact — Link to section
We will identify changes through a new version and effective date, and communicate material changes by an appropriate service or account notice before they take effect where required. If a change requires your agreement, we will obtain it; continued use cannot waive a mandatory right. Contact legal for questions about these Terms.
